The fold and active site of the Yeast Hypothetical Protein YBL036C are shown. This protein, P007, was selected by the structural genomics approach described at http://proteome.bnl.gov Though the protein has no sequence similarity with previously known structures it folds as a TIM-barrel. The cofactor pyridoxal-5'-phosphate is covalently bound to the protein in the active site. Cofactor and interacting residues are shown in ball and stick representation.
